Family Support

We offer pastoral support to all of our pupils to ensure that our children feel safe and secure and know that there are adults within school who they can talk to and who will listen to them.

Mrs Pink is our Parent Support Advisor (PSA) and our Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA).

In her role as PSA, Mrs Pink works directly with families to support them with a range of needs, such as behaviour, attendance, anxiety and support for families in times of need. She works with our SENCo to direct families to external agencies for further support.  Mrs Pink's PSA contact number is 07719 412 231. She can be contacted via text message or phone call during the school day. She is also available for pre-booked appointments.

As an ELSA, Mrs Pink runs a variety of programmes to support children's emotional needs, such as recognising and managing emotions, self-esteem, friendships, anger management or coping with bereavement. Mrs Pink works with children on a 1:1 basis or in a small group, either for a one-off session or she will work with children over a few weeks.

Our teachers work closely with Mrs Glendinning (SENCo) and Mrs Pink (PSA and ELSA) to identify children who might benefit from support. Please contact your child's class teacher with any questions regarding the pastoral support available.

The documents and weblinks below are to support families in times of need. There are some specific documents to support families during the Covid-19 crisis.  Information is also available on our eSafety page.

USEFUL DOCUMENTS

https://www.aok.community/

Acts of Kindness Community (AOK) is a charity supporting families in the local area during the Covid crisis. They provide essential items, such as food parcels, clothing, household items and electronic equipment, to families in the Fareham and Gosport area.

Families can contact the charity directly to ask for support with food parcels by telephoning 07726 577761 (no referral needed).

If families could benefit from support with clothing or require laptops or tablets for children to be able to access their online learning, please contact us via the school office or Mrs Pink, our PSA, so that we can get in touch with AOK on your behalf.
